Challenging players to become the number one race driver in a new world of exhilarating motorsport, Race Driver: GRID will take players on a tour like never before to beautifully realised racing locations through Europe, the U.S., Japan and beyond. Race Driver: GRID will feature the most extensive range of events in the series, combining official circuit-based championships with Race Driver: GRIDs road races and urban street competitions. Travel the world as a race driver in GRID where the emphasis is on the racing. Get behind the wheel in Europe, the US and Japan with distinct racing styles for each venue. European courses are track based, US courses take you through population centers and the Japanese put on drift and other underground-style events. GT and Touring cars are your mounts of choice in Europe while muscle cars are kings of the road in America and you'll be sliding through urban race courses in tricked-out sports cars in the Land of the Rising Sun and open-wheel racing in multiple locations. As a driver, you'll be out to earn money – by winning, being part of a winning team, sponsorship bonuses and taking on the courses at higher difficulty levels. Your winnings will go towards purchasing vehicles new or by in-game online auctions. As you twist and turn through the incredibly realistic courses, your AI opponents will happily smash you against the wall with damage affecting how your car handles. Head-on collisions will put you completely out of the race, but the flashback rewind option lets you go back and avoid danger. A driver's position in the pack will also determine whether they challenge you for the lead, or simply hold back and wait for you to make a mistake. The AI drivers aren't immune to making mistakes as they jockey for position and each racing team has distinct driving styles. All of the racing events – plus a demolition derby – can be played with up to a dozen players either online or on a network. Are you ready to get behind the wheel?
