if you r living in us yes but living in europe you need to ntsc player or reencoded to pal.

most players nowadays should manage either ntsc or pal format, the uk is a pal region and most players will play ntsc, however it is easy to convert the format.

1 thing i need to say you can open on your pc any format we were speaking for dvd players.

Yes it will be easy to open on pc, I also was talking about stand alone DVD players, I can put an NTSC disc into any of the stand alone players that I have access to and it will play and all the players are for European market
