Anyone know what is currently the best disc burning software, and why? Any recommendations? Thanks.

If u r burning a data disk
forget all softwares if u r using windows
use its default disk burning software
just by draging and droping files in cd rom drive and going to file menu
and selecting burn to disk option
it is avalabel in windows xp,vista,7(all versions)
but if u insist in using a stupid software
which just makes it
a bit complex
yet simple(varies from disk data type) to use
means u need to read manuals and gather a bit of experience for using them

these softwares have an advantage over windows default cd/dvd burning software
because the offer special features like

1)coppying an cd/dvd

2)creating a slideshow that works on vcd /dvd players

3)create a vedio disk that u can edit,select cliarity of vedio and play it on vcd /dvd players
(theyr always is a loss of quality for vedio and slideshow)

4)cd/dvd/br rom/ram info etc....

i do not use any of these software

but i can suggest u

roxio creator


u can also use nero 9
but it uses lot of disk space
cannot uninstrall properly
and uses high prosessing power

if using nero u should better use version 6 or 7 they were the best version
