Clearly from the wrong side of town, Tramp and Lady nonetheless strike up a friendship, and when fate plays its hand, the two set off on their travels together, which doesn’t quite go quite as either expected.
Made in an age where Disney animation was on tip-top form, there’s so much to enjoy here it’s hard to know where to start. The exquisite animation and carefully woven script though both provide an excellent grounding for the film, which is then considerably enhanced by a wonderful musical score. Add in that scene, often parodied, as the two share a romantic meal in an Italian restaurant, and a pair of characters that you can’t help but root for, and you have an unmissable classic for the whole family to enjoy.

Lady and the Tramp successfully weaves together moments of comedy, adventure and music really quite seamlessly. And yet, at its heart, this is a tender, extremely well told love story, that rightly sits as one of the finest animated movies the Disney empire have created. Great stuff!

The greenhouse effect has risen the temperature into nearly unbearable regions, and the people are kept in the cities by law. The rich live in separated luxury apartments (with women as part of the rented furniture) but also experience the lack of natural food. Strawberries are at $150 for a glass of them. Police Detective Thorn investigates a strange murdering case of a official from the Soylent corporation, which feeds the masses with a palette of their creations: Soylent red, yellow, or, even more nutritious, green. He soon stumbles across the real source of Soylent Green, which is not soy beans or plankton any more.

The Hurricane 1999



This film tells the story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, an African-American man who rose above his troubled youth to become a top contender for the middle-weight boxing title. However, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of a triple murder, and is convicted to three natural-life terms. Despite becoming a cause celebre and his dogged efforts to prove his innocence through his autobiography, the years of fruitless efforts have left him discouraged. This changes when an African-American boy and his Canadian mentors read his book and are convinced of his innocence enough to work for his exoneration. However, what Hurricane and his friends learn is that this fight puts them against a racist establishment that profited from this travesty and have no intention of seeing it reversed.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)



'Toon star Roger is worried that his wife Jessica is playing pattycake with someone else, so the studio hires detective Eddie Valiant to snoop on her. But the stakes are quickly raised when Marvin Acme is found dead and Roger is the prime suspect. It's the story of a cartoon character named Roger Rabbit who exists along side of real humans. Detective Eddie Valliant has hated toons since his brother was killed by one, but now he has to help a toon that was framed for the murder of Marvin Acme, owner of Acme Corporations and Toontown, for playing patty-cake with the toon's wife. On the way, they have to avoid a suspicious character who wants to destroy all toons using a chemical that disintegrates everything.

Roger Rabbit is a cartoon character who (along with many others) exists along side of real humans. Eddy is a private eye who has seen better days and has been on the skids since the death of his brother at the hands of a Toon (cartoon character). Rogers' boss hires Eddy to see if his sexy wife has other male interests, but things get out of hand as Roger is framed for murder with no one but the Toon hating Eddy to go to for help.

After they are rescued and taken back to their planet, Belder is told to come back and destroy planet Earth!

An alien couple with cone-shaped heads (Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin) from the planet "Remulak" is mistakingly ditched on earth. While waiting to be recalled to their mother planet, they start a family and have a little daughter. They try to adapt to earth customs by living in middle-class suburbia. Meanwhile, their daughter grows up to be a teenager (Michelle Burke) who has difficulties fitting in with her peers or accepting the fact that at some point, she has to return to "Remulak" with the rest of the family.

Luther Heggs aspires to being a reporter for his small town newspaper* the Rachel Courier Express. A typesetter (Don Knotts) for a small town newspaper persues his dream of becoming a big-time reporter by spending a night in an alleged haunted house.

Luther Heggs is a jerky* quirky typesetter for the town paper who aspires to move up from his basement office to be a full-fledged reporter. He also pines for town babe Alma* who's already seeing the newspaper's main writer* Ollie. The film is centered around the Old Simmons House* which is known as a "murder house" around town due to the murder/suicide of Mr. and Mrs. Simmons 20 years earlier. In the courtroom* Luther is made to look the fool* but the judge orders the courtroom to the Simmons House at midnight to allow Luther to prove his story. Nothing happens* of course* but after everyone except Luther leaves* the old organ begins to play and he finds Mr. Kelsey* the newspaper's janitor* tickling the keys...

During WW2 a British aircraft is shot down and crashes in Nazi held territory. The Germans capture the only survivor* an American General* and take him to the nearest SS headquarters. Dr. Warner* upset with the situation with his wife* threatens and uses her as a subject of his experiment. When Martha dies of fear* Dr. Warner makes her autopsy and finds a creature that lives inside every human being* feeds with fear and is controlled by the scream. Nuclear tests in the desert result in the growth of gigantic mutant ants who menace cities in the American south-west as a team of investigators and the army search for a way to control their spread in this Cold War-era monster film. Written by Keith Loh {loh@sfu.ca}

After several people in the New Mexico desert wind up missing or dead* including an F.B.I. agent and most of his family* police Sgt. Ben Peterson teams up with F.B.I. agent Bob Graham to find out what's causing the strange occurrences. They find send a strange print found at one of the crime scenes and it is sent to the Department of Agriculture. Doctor Harold Medford and his daughter Doctor Patricia Medford arrive and ask to be taken to the scene of some of the disappearances. When they get there they are shocked to find gigantic ants* whose mutations were caused by the first atomic bomb explosion nine years earlier. They manage to destroy the nest of ants* but not before two winged queen ants and a couple of drones have hatched and escaped the nest. Now it is a race against time to find the two queen ants before they can establish more nests and hatch more queens.

The Blue Lagoon (1980)



Richard and Em are children when shipwrecked and marooned alone on a lush tropical island. By the time they are rescued* they have learned a great deal about life and are raising a child of their own.

Two young children are swept up on a desert island after a shipwreck. The film follows them as they grow up and become more mature* without the intervention of grown ups.

Two young children are the sole survivors of a shipwreck in a time when sailing was the only way of travel. They are stranded on a tropical island* a real paradise. Together* Richard and Emmeline have to survive* which is quite easy as there are no dangerous animals on the island. Years later* the two teenagers are living in a self-constructed hut* strange emotions start influencing their relationship. Although they had no grown-ups to educate them for all that time* the behaviour of the two always stayed in a very civilized way. Nature takes its course* and Emmeline gets pregnant* totally unaware of the fact that a child is growing inside her. On the night their boy is born* Richard finds out about the origins of the drums they hear from time to time from the forbidden side of the island.
